Helped out Marisha today with some urban bamboo harvesting. There's a great event coming up at the UC Botanical Garden, the Green Gala, and this bamboo will be woven into a large sculpture for the event, along with lots of discarded cuttings that have been saved from the UC garden. After a disappointing run at Blake Gardens to check out some golden bamboo that was too short and too thin, we stumbled upon my neighbor Devon, who has a beautiful grove of clumping timber bamboo. He generously offered us a share, and after taking some choice pieces we managed to stuff the bounty into Marisha's SCOUT to bring to the gardens. Thanks to Lily for helping!
